TBO rules are in place to make this a friendly, fun place to be. Please follow them.
2 -
Be nice to fellow members. If you have a problem with anyone, either discuss with a guild officer, or sort it out in /w. DO NOT fight in guildchat.
3 -
Horde are our enemies (kill them all unless we are trying to set summon for a raid!)
4 -
People being abusive, disruptive, or not following guild rules, may be demoted, and have to prove their worth, before being promoted again.
5 -
As a TBO member please try to give a good impression to others outside the guild. Your behaviour reflects on how the community as a whole sees all of us. This includes pug raiding and instances.
6 -
Have Fun!
Raiding Rules
1 -
Be available to raid with your main. Do not raid outside the guild with your main, on any content TBO is currently on, or may do. If you are seen raiding current
content with non guild, or cannot join a raid because you are bound to another group, you may be demoted, and you will not be eligible for raidpoints in future raids. TBO raids must take priority over any raids/groups you have joined with alts also. Please dont refuse to join a raid because youre raiding
with an alt, same penalty will be enforced.
2 -
TeamSpeak is required for all raids. If you do not have it, do not try and join the raid without a good reason.
3 -
A compatible ThreatMeter is required.
4 -
Some sort of Boss Mods are required. i.e Deadly Boss Mods
5 -
Officers/Raidleaders should should start/invite to all current content TBO raids, and all guild raids should be run in accordance with these raiding rules.
6 -
Do not spam raidchat/teamspeak or you risk being kicked from the raid. DO NOT post damagemeters. No one cares if you "win" the damagemeter (repeat offenders will be
kicked from raid)
7 -
Turn up with an appropriate spec, and acceptable level of gear for all raids (all gear must be gemmed and enchanted). Also have whatever consumables you might need (pots, flasks, food, etc). Expect to
be replaced in the raid if you dont. (For progress raids, feasts may be provided by the guild, and flasks may be available to purchase at cost price, from a raidleader)
8 -
If you need to leave before the end of the raid, make sure the raidleader knows this at the beginning of the raid, BEFORE you are invited, or you will lose 1 raid point.
9 -
DO NOT afk during raids, do not afk during fights. If you need a break for any good reason, ask a raidleader. We will try and fit short drinks/bathroom breaks into
any long raids. Repeat offenders may be kicked/banned from raids.
10 -
We will always try to raid with main characters. The only exception to this will be if we are short of a class that is specifically needed. Then, an alt may join IF
SPECIFICALLY ASKED by the raid leader. We will not progress by constantly gearing up new alts.
11 -
Your main, is your main. Pick a character you enjoy playing, and raiding with, pick a spec youre good at, and stick to it. This will then be your main for TBO
raiding and can only be changed if a majority of the officers finds that the change will be unlikely to affect the guild raiding.
12 -
One offspec item per raid unless no one else needs it or everyone who wants it has already had offspec loot.
Current Content
FIRELANDS These are the raids that gives raidpoints and are subject to guild raid rules and non puggable with a main raiding with TBO.
Looting Rules
Current system:
Is a weighted rolling system. This benefits regular raiders, should even up loot distribution through the whole of our raiding community, and ensures one person cant
win all the epics raid after raid.
How it works:
Everyone gets 1 point per TBO raid they join, as long as they stay until the end of the raid, or until a time agreed BEFORE the raid with the raidleader, upto a
maximum of 3 points. Once you reach 3 points you wont get anymore, but you are eligible to roll on all onspec loot until you win an item, then your points are reset to 0 (your points will be reset to 0 AFTER the raid but you are only allowed to win 1 on spec item per raid unless no one else wants for on spec).
Points only become available for use AFTER the current raid.
If no one who needs for on spec has 3 points, it goes to the person (on spec) with the most points. If more than one person has the same number of points, they roll for it. IF the only people who want the item, have 0 points then all who want for on spec get to roll UNLESS they have already had on spec loot in current raid. (current raid= if you change instance, or break raid, and reform on a different day it becomes a new raid). Every instance (even on the same day) will be treated as a new raid. You get 1 point pr. raid.
This applies to current raiding content only (see above).
The raid leader and officers have the right to hand specific items to specific people regardless of results on rolls in order to further the guild's gear level and distribute items
more evenly amongst its members. However this will not be commonplace, and may only happen in exceptional circumstances.
Example 1:
Tank ring drops, Alchy and Kogirly both want it, and have 3 points each, Chapi wants but only has 2 points, Aaron wants it, he has 3 points, but hes dps so its
offspec. Alchy and Kogirly are the only 2 who are eligible to roll, so they roll against one another. Winner takes the loot.
Example 2:
Same tank ring drops. Chapi wants it but doesnt have any points, Aaron still wants it, he has 3 points but its offspec for him. Chapi is main spec so is only one
eligible to roll for it and gets the loot.
Recruitment
1 -
People are taken on in TBO at the rank of 'Newcomer'. They have 'Newcomer' status in guild, and in raids until the guild officers decide whether they have what it takes
to become a full member or not. They will then be either promoted to Raidmember, or asked politely to leave, dependant upon how they have behaved during their recruitment period. There is no
set trial period, however a reasonable level of activity, and keeping within the guild rules are required, ask an officer if you want to know how your recruitment is progressing.
2 -
Newcomers will be reviewed at least every officers meeting.
I played Classic until I was nearly level 60. It needs The Burning Crusade really for me though. I am lurking around Daggerspine again for a while, trying to get used to the changes lol
