I'm not an expert on building computers, so it's probably not a good idea to take advice from me.
Here's a discussion thread about the two processors: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/3...3770-2600k
Here's a review of the GT 640 graphic card: http://techreport.com/articles.x/23179 Here you will also find a list of numbers comparing GT 640 with other cards, like GTX 550 Ti.
It looks like you have one PC with more memory and a bigger hard drive, while the other one has a better processor (?) and a better graphic card, but I may have misunderstood the reviews. |

Ewww PC World
I'm not too up on the gfx cards currently but i'm sure the 640 beats the 550 loads!
Have a look on overclockers i've bought all my pc parts from them over the years, they have some simlar spec'd systems which work out cheaper and a bit more power !

I go by this website, says the 550ti is better than the 640 - which is why it costs more. Talking between 8 GB and 12 GB you prob won't notice loads of difference. So I'd go for the HP Phoenix.
Hell, spend £50 on a 120GB SSD for your OS and main games you'd play, and pimp that sucka!
