Not really any more or less grindy than any other type of mmo I've played to date. Ive yet to be in the situation where I've felt the need to grind out a bunch of mobs just to level up. The questing side of it so far to level 30 has been more than enough to keep me almost out levelling zones.
The only times its started to get anywhere near feeling grindy has been doing guild quests and Support quests, but these are optional quests. They each take the form of killing x number of a certain type of creature and not all kills count for some reason.
I think the biggest need later on might be getting enough gold together to do everything you want, but even that you get enough gold to do what you need and that said once hitting around level 28 or so the coins have been rolling in a bit more readily.
One of the biggest nice new things is the combat system. There is no clicking on a mob to have it targetted, then press keys or hot bars and the server rolls to see if you hit and how much damage you.
In this, you aim your spell at your target and if the creature is still there when the spell reaches it, its damaged . Melee is probably a little easier in so far as you are generally right next to the creature, so if you swing a sword, if its long enough and you are facing it you hit it.
If you fire a slow moving spell and it side steps, you miss plain and simple .
I can certainly recommend trying it out if there are ever any free trials to be had. |

I was pretty excited about this game and got into late beta for it, id seen it advertised as being a more actionrpg type of game and the use of crosshairs did get my attention.
however after trying a mix of classes I found the combat system to be my biggest disappointment. considering the lack of movement (at least up to about lvl 20) during combat I couldn't really understand the need for the crosshairs allot of the time, especially considering the way the hit box works. also the animation felt very "sticky" during combat, it wasn't as bad on melee chars but on ranged it was still very much a shoot until dead and move on with very little "action" really happening.
I did however hear that the combat gets far more tricky higher up so it could all fall into place later on. it something ill keep an eye on as if they can make the combat feel a lil more fluid ill most likely hop on it.
