Just been reading up on the purchase system for tier 10 items and they have changed the way it is done yet again, and i'm not sure if it's better or not to be honest.
Basically you buy the tier 10.0 stuff for emblems of frost (Gloves and shoulders cost 60 - Helm, Legs, and Chest cost 95.)
Now in order to get the tier 10.5 stuff you need to have the tier 10.0 equivelent, plus a tier token which drops from 25man bosses (and perhaps the hardmode 10man)
So say I wanted the T10.5 Chest piece - I would need to grind badges and buy the T10.0, then to get the T10.5 I would need to patiently wait to win the tier token drop (that work the same way as the tier 8 ones) and the hand them both in to get my 10.5.

Intressting
I kinda like it it. means you need to work abit for it. so 95 badges first + a token = item. i dont mind that at all.

Today you maybe buy the T9 gloves for 35 badges, To be able to get the T9,5 you need to get a trophy in 25 mans. When you gotten one then you can go out and buy a T9 gloves with 50 badges and a trophy, that is 85 badges and 1 trophy. Next patch 60 badges and a trophy.
Ofc if you are lucky then you maybe get a trophy in the beginning and don’t have to buy the T9 gloves, but it can be like this....2 days before the 25man raid you have got the badges and really need a upgrade an buy the gloves. In the 25 man raid a trophy drops and you get it, then you have wasted 35 badges.
So with next patch you don’t need to wait with buying the smaller upgrade and waste badges. You just buy the gloves and then as of today hope you will be the lucky one to get a trophy

I guess it is kind of a good thing...means you don't need to grind badges twice for one slot.
The only thing I don't like about it is the fact your relying heavily on luck to upgrade 10.0 to 10.5 (which I feel the same way about winning a trophy from TOC) as numerous people will be after that same token - but saying that we will all get them eventually
The system works, I'm just impatient hehe

i like it , it means i can get the tire bonuses faster then whit todays system .
now i can just get the slots i want , and then upgrade them as needed , my experience is that getting emblems is easy , getting the tire 9,5 token take a while and am not going to "wast" emblems on t9 gear as its i week upgreade form 226 gear .
but then i gain am a loot hore

well you can get t10 "faster" and then upgrade it , insted of getting first t9 and then spend 75 more emblems to get 9,5
saves you a bit of eblems atleast
