There has been massive latency issues and disconnects going on not only serverwide, but also gamewide.
Multiple servers report with high latency in starting areas aswell as towns. The latency is usually differing between 500 and up to as much as 20 000ms.
Blizzard has officially announced that the problem lies with Telia's servers. The problem is your game uses one of Telia's servers at its route towards Blizzard's servers, and therefore either times out or simply disconnects. This is not related to the weekly maintenance that happened today (21st October) and Blizzard aswell as Telia is working on how to fix this problem.
Telia has servers all over Europe, the only place which is not affected as highly as the rest of Europe is United Kingdom which uses a different route towards Blizzard's servers than everyone else.
I will update this thread with more techupdates about this problem or when its solved. Untill then dont worry if you cant get into WoW or have massive lag, it is not your computer or ISP's fault.

I work fro Teliasonera Cap. trust me, they were ****ting bricks yesterday since blizz is telias only "Platinum" client, and that means no matter what Telia has on their table, internally or externally, they have to drop it and fix blizzards problem, within 2 hours, or they will have pay enourmous ammounts
It was some kind of outage in germany as i understand it, dont know the details, havent talked with anyone on transmission yet. But since the entire serverhall from blizz stands in germany, thats ALOT of traffic to re-loop and re-direct anyways, ill appoligize from Telias part for any inconvinince Edited by Gangsta on 22-10-2009 09:04

I played Classic until I was nearly level 60. It needs The Burning Crusade really for me though. I am lurking around Daggerspine again for a while, trying to get used to the changes lol
