Hey guys, some of us recorded some good videos in-game lately. I was just wondering which program you use? I just downloaded Fraps and recorded a test movie, then i saved it with Windows Movie Maker. I'm currently playing with 1440x900 wide screen but when i play it after saving with movie maker it's 640x480. Anyone know how to sort that for wide screen?

Here's the video, as you can see the quality sucks. But before i saved the video with movie maker it was far better. So should i save it with another program to have better quality?

I use Fraps (full version) - I play 1280 x 1024 resolution, and record the same. The raw files are always huge for me (but playback the same quality as i was playing), have had a little play about in moviemaker and adobe premier, after export i still get pretty good quality and the files aren't that huge....

One last question
Does Fraps record teamspeak as well or just ingame sounds?

erm tbh i've not tried it with TS on...
it records the sound from your main sound output (its defaulted to auto select the source, but you can manually choose as well)...so technically if you have the game sounds and TS coming from the same source it should record both...
I'm at work just now unfortunatly so I can't test it till i get home, but once I have i'll let you know how it went
-edit-
I've just had a little read up...apparantly if your using a USB mic/headset and have TS set to play voices through the headset (i.e game coming from speakers, TS coming through headset) you will need to set TS to play the sound through the speakers as opposed to the headset.
Fraps apparantly will also not record anything that YOU say, but will record others.
If you are using a mic/headset that is not USB and plugs straight into the soundcard (seperate mic and headphone jacks) it should work fine.
I started to ramble on a bit there hope it make sence
