DiabloIII will be nothing less than perfect.
The moment Mike Morhaime was about to introduce Blizzard's next game during the WWI opening ceremony, all light went out and the main stage went red. Then a guy holding a guitar came (he was the main composer of the Diablo franchise music, forgot his name) and he started playing the Diablo theme.... everybody was so excited, you could feel the magic.
After that we saw the opening video and the game was finally revealed, I was so excited I could barely stand. Then we watched a 20minute gameplay video with commentary, the game looks amazing.
On a later time there was also a session where the DiabloIII lead developers talked about the game in detail and also provided a presentation with lots of material, like sketches, videos, screenshots and live action. they shared their ideas and visions for the game and also answered many questions the people had.
I find it amazing that everyone could reach those people working behind all the great games we play, they weren't unreachable as many people might think and of course they didn't look VIP at all. We had fun with them, drink, ate and discussed all sorts of stuff. Awesome people, I wish I could work at the development team.  |

thx for the info of the amazing event m8.. hope they'll finish it fast.. i think they completed most of the game tho.. will see..

I am afraid it will take a while, the game is still on the early stages of developent, meaning that they have some basic ideas and concepts but it's far from being finished.
My guess is end of 2009, perhaps even more. |

This is one game I WILL be getting
Loved the first 2, Used to have a blast playing co-op with those and I'm sure this one will be no different Well, actually if anything I suspect they will somehow find a way to improve it.
In fact I'm almost tempted to load them back up and give them another blast just for old times sake

I am soooooooooooooo gonna buy this game. I've been waiting for this 1. I've played many hours D2 + expansion.
The gameplay video looks awsome. Cant wait to get this beauty in my hands

So I have this on pre-order! I was unfortunately unable to participate in the beta but I have seen a lot of footage on YouTube etc and wowsers, it looks fricken sweet!
I have never played any Diablo games before though so I was wondering if this is like a continuation of a storyline or anything like that, if it is can someone be kind enough to give me a brief Diablo history?!

Yea that's what I did - I don't play WoW all that often, but i never cancel my sub as i do pop on occasionally - was a good deal imo
