Specs for warriors at 80.
These are just my views on the new talents, would like 1st hand experiance at using these specs before saying "SPEK LIEK TIHS!!1", but im not gonna get that. Also theres still a long way untill WOTLK comes, so these can still be changed by blizzard.
PROT (PVE/5MAN) 11/0/60 // PROT (PVE/RAID) 5/0/66
Prot Warriors, note that defiance (+5/10/15% threat and +2/4/6 expertise) talent is gone, and anticipation (+4/8/12/16/20 defence) has been changed to +1/2/3/4/5% dodge. The change in defiance isnt much of an issue, most of the other talents are giving you a +dmg boost to all of your tanking abilities anyway, which will generally mean more threat. The change to anticipation however means you'll need to rack up more defence on your gear. Also Improved Shield Block has been changed from +1block to -5/10sec cooldown. I know what you're thinking "wtf its only got 5sec cooldown anyway??" I guess thats going to be changed. If they give the bosses in wotlk the same swing timer (average 2.5sec) as in preTBC and TBC, then hopefully the cooldown will be reduced to 2.5sec or less, otherwise Prot Warriors are going to need to rack up more avoidance on their gear to be crush immune.
ARMS (PVE) 43/28/0 // ARMS (PVP) 51/20/0
I cant really say much for arms, didnt play arms enough at 70 to get a good feel of it, but anyway: Deathwish and Sweeping strikes have been switched back, and its impossible to get Deathwish and Bladestorm (61point arms talent). Blade storm however makes you fear/trap/sheep/deathcoil/charm/etc immune (just like Beast Master Hunters' "The Beast Within") so it can replace Deathwish anyway, the +20%dmg is made up by Strength of Arms (+1/2/3/4/5% Strength and Health). Notice it says "Health" and not "Stamina"? +5% Health will increase your HP by more than +5% Stamina would (not all of your HP is from Stamina, you have a base amount that isnt effected by Stamina, and the odd +HP enchants you might have). For example; You could have 10,000HP and 600Stamina, +5% HP would put you to 10,500HP where as +5% Stamina would put you to 10,300HP(+30 stamina). +5% Health also means you'll get an increased amount of HP bonus from your Commanding Shout.
(In the Arms Specs i chose Mace Specialization, that was random, im not saying be mace spec! Just had to put the 5 points in one of the Specialization talents).
FURY (PVE) 17/54/0 // FURY (PVP) 17/54/0
Dual Weilding two-handers ftw, but you'll have 20% slower attack speed. Meaning the average 3.6speed two-handed weapon becomes 4.32speed. Haste and Flurry can make up for it, so pile on the Haste Rating and Crit Rating to pick it up. Also, Fury Warriors will get a 2nd talent to reduce threat; Furious Resolve (-4/7/10% threat and +2/4/6% Stamina). Putting us imba melee DPS to -20% Threat caused unbuffed, and everyone knows; less threat = more dps.

Hehe Fury all the way, both for pve and pvp imo when this comes out.
Just as shen points out, yes it will be 20 % slower duel wileding the two-handers, but haste, crit, AND utilizing slam right will take care of that. Now for once 2 points in imp slam will come in handy, since it reserts the swing time on your wep, and im guessing it will be the exact same way with two weps.

Bloodsurge (fury talent) 3/3 will give a 100% faster Slam (so instant cast) when you crit with Bloodthirst, So i didnt bother putting talents in Improved Slam, Also, im not sure if there would be enough rage left over after using Bloodthirst and Whirlwind. Swinging 2x 2handers you'd think there would, but after using BT and WW, its still gonna be a while before your weapons hit again to get rage. I rarely use slam, mostly because im fury, but while i was arms i only used it once or twice. Never really looked into it, if it resets your swing timer, then it would be: 1.5sec slam cast + 3.6(or whatever your weapon speed is) auto attack. So 5.1sec between auto attacks? Thats a bit of a rage nerf imo.
Although, your 1st attack (as in running up to a mob out of combat and hitting it for the 1st time) has only a 0.5sec swing, or so i read somewhere. If thats what you mean by resetting the swing timer, then it would be; 1.5sec slam cast + 0.5sec auto attack, so 2.0sec auto attacks.
(Everything untalented and ignoring Haste and Flurry)
The reason i left Improved Slam talents out of my Fury specs is because i dont know too much about how usefull they would be as Fury.
