Erm pretty odd thread this, and it doesn't require a response, cos I am not fishing for compliments but I thought perhaps I should say something.
Yesterday Valeria was asking for an enchant and as usual, I responded my Priest could do what he needed. When I logged over to Darktoo, Val asked me why I wasn't in TBO, to which I replied, I am the GL of Soulbound. He found this a little strange, and because I was in MgT and had a waiting group I didn't really explain...thus this post.
As you may or may not know, I was a founding member of Soulbound, and despite leaving with my main to join you guys, was allowed to keep officer status on my Priest in SB. When i reached 70, I was able to help SB with KZ from the teachings and experience I gained from being with you guys, as well as the confidence to know that the guildies we had were good enough to actually go to KZ, which before had been something of an issue.
After a few problems with our previous GL, he made me the GL, and then decided on a poll to try and get the title back, and this was a vote made from the remaining original founders, Cyanide,Loke and myself. Luckily for me, the officers voted in my favour and I kept the position on the proviso that we remained a council and that my vote was still only as strong as any other officers vote. I will be honest, being GL can be pretty stressy =)
So...this left me with a dilemma. Do I decline a guild i helped create, or do I leave a guild that has been good to me and equipped me and miss people I have made friends with? One thing I have always said is TBO for Life, and this is a promise i will only break if you guys want me to leave. Admittedly, I play my Rogue far less than my Priest, and rarely raid with you guys at all, but this is mainly due to the fact i think I shouldn't be taking a TBOers place, when i am a part timer really.
I do understand there is some friendly rivalry between TBO and SB, but this is mainly due to how similar we are as guilds, and I can assure you, no one will slag of you guys on my watch =)
Personally, and I know I am biased, but I think TBO and SB are probably the two best guilds on this server. You guys have the history too, which is something many of these new kids on the block lack, and we have a really good community. Furthermore, failure and hard times makes us grow stronger, something which often tears apart other further progressed guilds, which is why I hope i can stay in both guilds, and still have your respect.
As i said to begin with, this is a statement , not a thread, but I always respect honesty if you feel you have any questions or remarks to make, and by no means is this a dig at my friend Valeria, just a nudge to make a post i should have made a long time ago.

I dont see it as a bad way that you are also the GM of SB and with a char in TBO. We all play this game to have fun. So we can learn things from eachother (already happening before a few times in the past). 2 know more then 1

This was very honest and open thread Dave mate, and i appriciate that very much. And as you know, i was in a simliar situation just a few weeks ago, and decided to bring over Black to TBO, since its with TBO i really do most of my gameplaying.
You will be a TBO member as long as you want to mate, youll never need to worry about getting your spot in this guild taken by someone else.
And for those who dont know, i really owe Darkwon more then most ppl in this game. He brought me to SB, after Steve (scyanide) badgerd me about it from lvl 30 to i was lvl 44
And Both Dark and Scy was the reason i applied to TBO in the first place, since they were both here. So again mate, thank you. Thank you very much.
